Our concern is always to preserve your natural teeth, because they are a valuable resource. This is exactly the aim followed by dentists with the root treatment of inflamed roots. In rare cases, however, dental inflammation does not heal properly after a root treatment or several revision treatments. Using a highly precise apicoectomy procedure, we can however still preserve the tooth. For this procedure we use a very modern operation microscope, which makes structures invisible to the human eye, such as the thinnest root canals, visible. Using this, we can remove inflamed tissue in the root tip area in a targeted manner that preserves the other tissues and shortens the root by a few millimetres.
